Ryusei's year reflection
My Year in Grade 5t

- How did your english improve in this year?
- What is your next goal?
- How are you going to achive this goal?
Answers
- I improved a lot comparing to when I was 4th grade. Now I have no struggle when I'm talking to my friends or teacher. I'm also able to say my opinion when it's my turn.
- My next goal is to work more on difficult vocabulary and understand them
- I'm going to work on my goal by working on my vocabulary 30 minutes per day.
-Reading
Growth:
- I'm able to read more difficult book and I'm able to read longer than when I was in 4th grade
- I am able to write down my thoughts, questions, and my deep thinking in my jots.
- I'm now able to read more difficult books comparing to the book that I read in 4th grade.
Evidence:
- In the starting of the year I was only able to read about 20 minutes and now I can read 30~40 minutes
- I always tried to write my thinking in my jots every 5 page.
- when I was in 4th grade I was only able to sound out the words not actually understand them but now I'm able to actually understand the words and I'm able to enjoy the book.
Next steps:
- I want to improve my vocabulary so I can understand the book easier
- I want to try to write more deeper jots
- I want to be more fast at reading
-Writing
Growth:
- I improved on my vocabulary
- I learned lots of writing skills
- I have good writing stamina

- I worked on vocabulary at night
- I learned lots of writing skills by writing work shop like transition words an counter claim
- In the starting of the year I was only able to write 1~2 page but now that I improved on my stamina I am able to write about 2~4 pages
Next steps:
- I want to be able to write more than 4 page in 20 minutes

Growth:
- I can finish my work fast
- I have strength at math
- I improved on my score at math map test

- when me and my partner was making water filter our water got cleaner and cleaner as we worked together
- I listened to instructions and made sure that everything was okay
- I used graphs and charts to record my data

Growth:
- I can finish my project in time

- I tried to finish my research fast so I can finish my work at time

- I tried to use trustable site and made sure that everything was correct

- I enjoyed my science project. Because every time we added something to the water filter it got better and better.

- I am really proud of my info writing about sharks. because I put lots of information and lots of effort in it.
-Most Growth
- I think I improved a lot on many things. such as english. when I was in 4th grade I used to copy information from internet but now I'm able to write something original by myself. I also improved on my math. When I was in 4th grade I didn't go to math Olympiad but now I go to math Olympiad and I'm able to use my strength as a mathematician
